Jorge Nery Espinoza Peraza
Jorge began assisting his father on a coffee plantation at the age of 10. Unfortunately, when he turned 16, his father passed away, leaving Jorge responsible for his mother and 11 siblings. This period was particularly challenging for coffee farmers, as bean prices were at an all-time low, and Honduras was grappling with a severe leaf rust outbreak.
Despite these hardships, Jorge never gave up. After years of relentless effort, he started to achieve better and larger yields. This progress allowed him to reinvest in the farm and enhance his cultivation methods. Today, he not only manages his own farm but also assists other farmers in processing their coffee using a processing area he constructed.
