ABOUT

Nestled in the lush Vale da Grama region of Brazil, Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama has been producing exceptional coffee for over a century. Owned by the Carvalho Dias family since 1890, the farm is not only a centre for coffee cultivation but also a hub for research and innovation, focusing on variety selection, harvesting, processing, and drying techniques. Situated at 1,100 to 1,250 meters above sea level, the farm spans 411 hectares, with 64 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. The region’s climate—annual rainfall of 1,800 to 2,000 mm and an average temperature of 19°C—provides ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee.

Beyond coffee production, the farm is deeply committed to sustainability and community welfare. Efforts include reforestation projects, wastewater treatment, and providing employees with modern housing, a school, and recreational facilities to support a thriving community.

This particular lot has undergone a fermented natural process, where the cherries are carefully fermented before drying. This method enhances the coffee’s sweetness and amplifies its depth of flavour, resulting in a vibrant and layered cup. This coffee is beautifully sweet and aromatic, with enticing notes of kiwifruit, golden syrup and white rum. Its smooth and complex profile makes it a great choice filter brewing.

Fazenda Cachoeira da Grama represents the perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and quality—delivering a truly remarkable cup.

To get the most balanced cup out of this coffee, we recommend brewing this one with a water temperature at around 89°C. See our brew guide for more detailed instructions.
